Hi
Anders, thanks for your answer regarding curves. I am glad that you are going to
include Edouard's patch.
As for the discussion about features, I am going to start it now, so Ed can give
some comments before his holiday. I would like to separate missing features in
RS by priorities, which I assign based on my experience as user (actually, I am
still using Rawstudio, as I can't find anything better so far). I consider RS to
have the potential to be a very good program in future, but there is still work
to do:
Prio 1 - absolutely needed, so that users can actually start using RS
- Demosaicing (like dcraw/ufraw AHD or EAHD)
- Fullsize image development
- Full color management
- Image sharpening
- Sensor noise reduction
- Kelvin scale for color temperature
Prio 2 - needed, but only after prio 1 points have been added
- Better image interpolation method for image resize
- Exif data export
Prio 3 - nice to have
- Misc. features like 'fill light', 'highlight contrast' and 'shadow contrast'
sliders
- RGB curves
- CA removal
- Auto exposure and contrast (mayby this is already covered by auto
curve-endpoints?)
As I said, these would be my priorities. Mayby you have other ones ;-)
Martin
